Today is World Food Day - a particularly appropriate day to talk about stunting.
What is stunting? When a child doesn’t get the right nutrients in their first 1,000 days of life, their brain and body is permanently damaged. Around 170 million children under five are stunted and these children are up to four times more likely to die from all causes, which is why tackling it is a key part of A Promise Renewed, our commitment to child survival.
