UNICEF

UNICEF advocates for the world’s most vulnerable children, offering visual evidence from 194 worldwide offices in support of children’s rights everywhere.

Who I Follow

César, 12, a sixth-grade student, smiles as he peers through a cement block window of a classroom at La Unión Educational Institute Secondary School in the northern municipality of Lorica in Córdoba Department of Columbia. Children at the school have been affected, and many displaced, by recent flooding. UNICEF has supported a local government initiative to adjust the school year calendar around peak seasonal rains, and to ensure that alternative shelters, rather than schools, are available in the event of flooding.
