Meet this month’s Champion for Children from Cheshegu ,Ghana. Memunatu Abukari is a seamstress, a mother-of-two, and the wife of a local schoolteacher. She is also the first person called when a child in her community gets sick. Two years ago, the people of her village chose her as their CBA (community-based agent). CBAs treat malaria, diarrhea and pneumonia in children aged between six months and five years old.
