Bangladesh, 2009 - Fishermen navigate thick, early morning fog as they journey toward Jhorgoch Haat, a market on Char Jhorgoch, in Chilmari, an ‘upazila’(sub-district) of the northern Kurigram District. Vendors travel several miles to the market, which is frequented by thousands of local villagers. The market is open two days each week, in the winter, when the Brahamaputra River’s water levels recede to expose the char.
