Who I Follow

Viet Nam, 2009: Hmong children attend a UNICEF-supported school in the remote Lao Cai Province. The school teaches classes in Vietnamese and the local Hmong dialect, part of a Government initiative to improve bilingual education for minority children. Ethnic minorities have high drop-out rates due to a lack of bilingual teachers and curricula; the Government, UNICEF and partners are working to reverse this trend.
